Please note: that the extent of coverage on both the 2G and 3G
networks is dependent on Radio Frequency (RF) related signal strength attenuation
based on a number of factors. These include but are not limited to the frequency
range in use, the distance of the user from the base station, the impact of the
shape of the earth (topography) and the coverage of the earth in the context of
obstructions such as buildings, foliage etc (morphology) on radio attenuation.
In the case of 3G there are additional load related factors that lead to further
variability in the extent of coverage, with load being created within this technology
by means of the type of service being requested (bandwidth), distance of the users
from the base stations as well as the number of users since the RF power available
is instantaneously shared amongst the users.
